I’m starting to feel like waiting for mail is comparable to watching water, waiting for it to boil. Friday night, I received an e-mail from my placement officer saying that she had issued me an invitation for a health program focusing on HIV/AIDS in Sub-Saharan Africa leaving in early June and that I would receive it in the mail within 7-10 business days. So I will FINALLY know exactly where and when I’m going as soon as I get the official invite in the mail. It’s coming from D.C., so I can’t imagine it taking anywhere near 7 days to get here. Most things that I’ve read say that it usually comes UPS 2nd Day Air, which would make its arrival either today or tomorrow (depending on whether it went out Friday or Monday). Unfortunately, I have today off, so naturally, I’ve been watching for the UPS truck like a stalker and jumping up and running outside every time I hear anything that sounds remotely like it…pretty sure my dog and my neighbors think I’m insane..
